El cantante de 19 años, Shawn Mendes, quien estuvo relacionado sentimentalmente con Hailey Baldwin, la prometida de Justin Bieber, le envió un mensaje a la chica tras enterarse de que ella se casaría con el canadiense.

Durante una entrevista con Daily Mail, el artista descartó estar molesto con la modelo, la misma que le dio el «sí» a Bieber tras menos de dos meses de acompañar a Mendes a los MET, como su primera aparición oficial en pareja.

Shawn dijo que es una «persona diplomática» y reconoció que Bieber ha sido una «gran influencia».

«¿Qué hice? le mandé un mensaje de texto a Hailey Baldwin al día siguiente y le dije: ‘Felicitaciones’. Eso fue todo. Muchos se imaginan que hubo más, pero solo fue eso», dijo el joven.
